Our weekly news
In the boxes below, you can read about our best moments in school.
We are sharing our weekly news every Friday.
- Week 3+
We’ve had another busy week in USA class.
We started the week off by celebrating Roald Dahl day on Monday. We read the story of the Enormous Crocodile and completed an activity based around his ‘clever tricks’. For Maths this week we have been looking at place value and addition and subtraction problems. As part of our Topic we have also been creating our own Paper-mache volcanoes. The class are looking forward to painting them next week before we complete our eruption experiment! Keep up the hard work USA class!
- Week 2+
USA class have had a great week back!
We learnt all about volcanoes and performed an experiment using citrus fruit, food colouring and baking soda. Once the baking soda was in contact with the citrus fruit, there was a reaction which we named ‘volcano eruption’. In English, we read ‘The Tortoise and the Hare’ in class and answered some questions to practise our comprehension skills. We also visited our school’s library and borrowed some of our favourite books. In Food Tech, we made cookies with chocolate and we found them delicious!
Well done USA class! Have a lovely weekend!
