Reading with a Princess and retelling the story with a Prince were all high on the list of activities – as too was following instructional text to decorate a Royal cake!
A sensory trail helped the students to sequence the stories of the Royal Guests at the ball and the students enjoyed working together to act out their favourite parts of the Cinderella Story … “It fits!”.
Our new AppleRockBand system (performed live by our talented students!) provided music and our maths topic of Place Value was reinforced as we used the language of higher and lower to predict which card may come next!
Many thanks to our wonderful families for supporting the children with costumes and super smart attire; this provided opportunities to develop language and communication as the students talked to each other and staff about the characters they represented.
