Employability Strategy Key Stage 2

In the second Key Stage 2 Employability work experience of this academic year, Italy class visited Build a Bear in the city centre to learn about careers in the retail sector.
Whilst there, they heard about how to respond to customer complaints and how teamwork is vital within the workplace.
The fun part was learning the role of an expert bear builder!
Our students took turns to stuff the bears and scan them at the till.
Class Italy made a bear to take back to school and through the adventures (and wardrobe!) of this class bear, we will learn about other careers we could do when we are older.
As a school, we have great expectations of our students and encourage them to aim high.
Exposure to different careers from an early age reduces anxieties about post-16 transitions and helps to inspire our students to dream big.
