Abbot’s Lea school fully welcome’s Employers, HEI, Apprenticeship providers and local colleges to help inform our students of Career routes and opportunities available to them to widen their knowledge of careers. All of our students from EYFS ( aged 3) upto KS5 ( Aged 16-19) are encouraged to engage with employers and undertake a form of appropriate work experience.
These are the ways we engage with employers;
- – talks and presentations in school
- – visits to employers
- – taking part in Career’s week
- – Career’s fair
- – primary Careers day
- – work experience for classes or individuals
- – job shadowing

Another way we work with employers is through our supported internship programme which places our older students with an employer for four days per week for the academic year. Information on this very successful programme and the employers we currently work with is below.
