Chatta- Case Study

Before Chatta was introduced at Abbot’s Lea School, Tyler struggled with his pronounciation, sentence structure and story sequencing. Tyler’s teacher Miss Sloan, guided by Speech and Language Therapy, created a personalised learning plan that included oral motor exercises to develop speech sounds. Miss Sloan also introduced Chatta, believing it would be motivating to Tyler.

Tyler’s class team and family were delighted with the impact, reporting on Tyler’s enthusiasm and willingness to engage with Chatta to develop his speech.

Sonny has also been sharing with us his Chatta boards, as he practices his sounds and sentence building, and shares his trip to the seaside. Sonny’s class team are delighted to see the impact that Chatta is having on Sonny and his family.

“Sonny is 4 and has Asperger’s. He has difficulty writing because he has Hypertonic. Chatta has worked well for us, to share with his teacher and also learning at home, and even routine strips for changes in his day.” Sonny’s Mum
